Guiding Principles

The subject lands are within Etobicoke Centre, which is what the Province defines as an Urban Growth Centre, and one of five key areas where growth is to be directed in the City of Toronto.

The Mixed Use Areas designation is assigned to areas where intensification is commonly encouraged, either by combining a broad array of uses in a mixed-use context or on a stand-alone basis.

The subject lands are designated Mixed Use Area A, which is defined by areas where the concentration of housing and employment will be located in Etobicoke Centre with the highest forms of intensification.
